Our Story

It Started in Oklahoma…

An old legend. A curious daughter. A 3D printer. And a story of our own.

What Is Bigfoot Commander?

I grew up in Oklahoma, where Bigfoot stories were just part of life. I remember hearing story after story about sightings in the woods — someone saw something crossing the road, someone heard something they couldn't explain, someone's uncle swore he had an encounter with Bigfoot himself!

So, how did Bigfoot Commander come to life?

Those stories stuck with me. Years later, Bigfoot still fascinated me — the mystery, the woods, and the wonder of what might be roaming just beyond the trees. And as a mom, I found myself telling those same old Oklahoma stories to my girls, passing on the same sense of adventure and wonder that I grew up with. Grace thought it was pretty silly that I believed them.

Then, in middle school Grace discovered 3D printing. She could take an idea on a screen and turn it into something real.

And then, she began to wonder…

She started investigating. She researched old Bigfoot stories and recordings, and eventually came across a story of an encounter that caught her attention. She created a database of her findings and then figured out how to turn it into a file she could 3D print. Layer by layer something that had lived in stories for years began to take shape.

And there he was.

And that was only the beginning…

When Grace printed the first Bigfoot, something about seeing him standing there made us smile. The story I had carried from my childhood in Oklahoma — and later passed down to my girls — had suddenly become something we could hold in our hands.

One Bigfoot became another. We tried different colors, gave them names and personalities, and started taking them along on our adventures.

And somewhere between an old Oklahoma story, a curious daughter, and a 3D printer, Bigfoot Commander became a story of our own.

Maybe the best stories aren't meant to end.

Maybe they're meant to be passed on.

The story continues…

Today, we are keeping a little mystery, adventure, and wonder alive — one Bigfoot at a time.
